Fantastic! We haven't had tapas this good since we were in Spain. Look forward to coming back regularly. Such a great vibe.

A taste of Spain has returned to Saint Louis!!! @barcelonatapasstl , formerly located on Central Ave, has reopened on Forsyth in Clayton, MO! While the venue is smaller than previous, the tapas are just as flavorful, servers are still friendly and attentive, and the live band knows how to get the party started! My friends and I stopped by for happy hour (3-6 with live music on Wednesday)and grabbed an open seat at the bar. My menu favs are still the wings (alitas de pollo), the goat cheese (queso de cabra) the shrimp (gambas al ajillo), and red sangria! The intimate space makes Barcelona a fantastic place for a solo date or date night and with (@downtownclaytonmo )Clayton Restaurant Week starting tomorrow, be sure to pop in for a cocktail while you are in the area!

I love coming here and just getting a whole bunch of the small plates/tapas! I've been here a few times and am finally writing a review. The Garlic Shrimp is really good as well as the Meatballs. We also had some dates (I believe they were bacon wrapped) and some baked goat cheese. Sorry I don't have all the details, I forgot to take notes! But make sure to check this place out!

Finally made it in and mannn does it live up to the hype! The service was good. We sat on the patio because it was a nice night and, well, covid. The restaurant followed the rules when it comes to masks and spacing. I was a little grossed out the server bringing a stack of share plates that all happened to be dirty. It happens. The food was great! We got: Alcachofas Fritas- Crispy artichokes with romesco sauce and shaved Manchego cheese. These were really good! I loved the Romesco sauce! Bacon-Wrapped Dates - MUST ORDER - these were what dreams are made of! Also pretty self explanatory, just order if you know what is good for yourself.. Queso De Cabra al Horno - MUST ORDER - goat cheese in a tomato sauce served with garlic bread. This dish is one of my favorites in STL and worth a trip to BARcelona for. Patatas Bravas - Really Good - roasted potatoes covered in tomato and spicy sauces. Roasted Brussels Sprouts - Good - roasted with pine nuts. Meatballs - Very Good - not normally a meatball person but these were flavorful and had the perfect combination of sauce and cheese to balance out the dish.

Time for a dinner update, especially since this place is going to be demolished next year (along with everything else on the block). The Patatas Brava were great, the spicy tomato sauce was very good and the potatoes were cooked perfectly. The saffron cauliflower was good. Started with the Ensalada de Espinaca which was very good. Had a glass of red Sangria which was ok.

BARCELONA, home of Tapas, which translates to "small plate". Wide spectrum of menu options, but at its core, shines a hint of greatness. Indoor/outdoor seating with a nice view of the business commerce district. Queso de Cabra al Horno - unbelievable dish for a starter, guiding you throughout the meal. I would call it marinara sauce, but maintains a certain thickness, complimented by the cheesy centerpiece. Served w/ lightly toasted bread slices, our table ended up asking for more. ***Decent-sized establishment, with many things to offer. Service was prompt and friendly. Inside is clean and well-kept; everything worked great. Wouldn't hesitate for a return visit***

I'm giving BARcelona 5 stars because I've yet to find another tapas bar that fills me with the nostalgia for my time studying abroad in Spain that BARcelona does. The atmosphere is amazing. This place is great to come to with a group of friends, because you can order a bunch of tapas to share, and you can try a little of everything! Add a couple pitchers of sangria and you are in for a great night. My favorite tapas are the queso de cabra al horno (baked goat cheese in marinara served with garlic bread), croquetas (a Spanish classic, kind of like a fish stick but these are filled with ham and cheese), albondigas (Spanish meatballs in marinara and melty cheese) and the mejillones (mussels soaked in a delicious sauce). Give this place a try for your next group night out!
